Welcome! My name is Tara, and for the past thirty years of my professional practice, my absolute belief in the healing powers of having one’s own life story listened to, and my passion for facilitating the telling of these vital, self validating aspects of who we are, is what inspires “Stories at Home”.
After training as an actor and taking an honours degree in Drama and Art at Liverpool University my early professional life was spent in Community Theatre. As a performer and Artistic Director I staged shows and ran workshops within local communities, bringing together a wide range of people from different walks of life with a huge variance in skills and abilities.
This led me to train as a Dramatherapist, and since 1996 I have been employed in this role, mostly for the NHS, working within Mental Health, Forensic Psychiatry and Learning Disability Services.
I offer online Dramatherapy, Clinical Supervision and Community Storymaking sessions via video link as well as sessions at my studio space at home in Cosgrove or other venues in Northants, Bedfordshire and Milton Keynes dependent on your needs or the needs of your group.
I look forward to hearing from you either by phone (07711 889789), text, or email – firstname.lastname@example.org – to discuss your needs.
You can also ‘like’ my Facebook page, Stories at Home.
